Hello Dr.
I am a 34 yr old woman struggling with unexplained infertility for the last 6 years.During these years some doctors have suspected uterine TB as an old & healed scar was discovered on my lung in 2002.I have never had any symptoms of TB & it is probably latent TB.Anyways, I had been put on AKT-4 treatment by one infertility doctor .But developed jaundice within 15 days.Thereafter AKT-4 was discontinued. A couple of years later I again approached a TB doctor(only to rule out possibilty of uterus being affected) who put me on Isoniazid treatment for 3 months which I successfully completed.
The situation now is that I have moved to the middle east & am in the process of undergoing medical exam for the visa. They have found abnormality on x-ray & will mostly prescribe the full TB treatment of 6-9 mths or maybe even send me back. Please advise if I should reveal my history to the drs here & explain that I have had a severe reaction to Rifampicin in the past OR shd I continue with the treatment they prescribe?? Would they accept the 3 month course that I have already taken? Please help I am in a BIG fix!!!
THANKS
