Suggest Treatment For Itchy, Red Colored Circle On Stomach

Hi, I have a small circle on my stomach. It began as a round red circle that itched a little. Then the skin peeled off the top of the spot, leaving it red beneath. This morning it's yellowish and perhaps "gooey". I just want to know how to treat it until I see my doctor about it.
