Suggest Treatment For Meniscus Tear In Knee

i have a meniscus tear in my right knee its has been 7 months since i played soccer in the first m.r.i the tear was of grade 3 but now in the second m.r.i which took place 1 month ago i had a grade 2 tear. my doctor says i can never play soccer again. is that true? i am 17 years old and my height is 5"9'. i did not have any surgery on my knee. i have now left the consultation of my doctor. i am riding bicycle for 2 days and it pains a little bit in my knee. will i be able to play soccer again?? i am doing my exercises regularly
