Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor, my father fell down and his MRI scan report says 1. marked compression fracture d12 with psterior protrusion of fractured fragments compressing lower dorsal spinal cord and nerve root at d11 - 12 and d12-L1 2. compression fracture L2, vertebral body with posterior protrusion of fractured fragment comprising upper lumbar spinal canal and nerve roots . We are using some medicines but his pain while walking is getting increasing day-by-day. Strength in his left leg is decreasing. He is a diabetic patient, so we are worried to go for surgery. Is surgery inevitable for this case? Can Ayurveda treatment work for this Case? Whom should we consult a neurosurgeon or orthopedic doctor?
