What Are The Excess Skin Like Strings On Her Vaginal Section?

Hello, My name is Jon and I'm seeking help with an issue my girlfriend is having. Today I found a strange section on the outer part of her vaginal section that had small excess skin like "strings". They are very small, form a line about 3/4 an inch long, they don't hurt, bleed, smell, or anything. They just randomly showed up. She was tested a month ago for STD's and again last week because her paps smear came back with some irregular cells which lead to an early stage of Cervical Cancer. Her surgery will be in 13 days from now. She has been tested for HPV and the results were negative, and she was vaccinated for it when she was younger. At first they looked like Genital Warts because those most commonly follow along with HPV, but they don't have any discoloration or anything that a wart would normally have. I thought I would send this in before continuing to a GYN for his advice or a biopsy if nothing conclusive could come from this.
