What Are The Red Dots On My Son's Body?

My son had an ear infection last week and they gave him medicine to treat it. My son has never been allergic to anything and he has been taking the medicine since July 4th. He woke up today with red dots all over his body and face but they do not itch. What do you think it is or what should we do?
