What Are The Side Effects Of Rabipur?

Hi, i was biiten by a 50 days old lab puppy, which is not yet rabbies vaccinated, it left a puncture in my toe with little blood commig out, i met a doctor tday, i was given TT + Rabipur Injections - i was asked to take 4 more shots of Rabipur My question is, Is this the normal course of treatment ? do we need to take anti- rabies shots,simply because the dog is yet to be vaccinated ? Is there any side efffect or consequence by taking Rabipur just be on the safer side.
