What Cause Sores Like Spots On Tongue Post Quitting Tobacco?

I qiut smokeless tobacco 2 months ago and now I am getting sore pots that last 2 or 3 days in diff areas on side and bottom of my tounge as well as cracks on top of tounge that last for 2 or 3 days. This hase been going on ever since I quit smokeless tobacco. What could it be?
