What Causes A Pulsating Vagina?

I am a 37 year old female. the last couple days i have been a pulsating feeling in my vagina. i have no clue what it is. it just keeps coming and going. it feels like it hurts and other time i feel like i am aroused. is this normal? do i have to worry? can i make it go away.
