What Causes Abnormal Behaviour In A Child While On Ritalin?

I have a student who just started on Ritalin last week. His behavior is remarkably better and his ability to focus is so much better also. BUT he is constantly wiggling and grabing his genitals. I have even observed him laying on stomach rubbing....he is 4 1/2 years old. Could this be a side effect of the medication?

Should stop further doses of Ritalin and consult a neurologist immediately for further prescriptions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
