I have a problem with spots / blisters in the genital area. Some details about me : 37 year old, slightly over weight, smoker, living in a hot and humid climate, never indulge in unprotected sexual intercourse.
I quit smoking when I moved to this climate and stayed clean for a year. After I started smoking, 6 months after that I started getting blisters or growths in my pubic region (never below that i.e. never on the penis or the testicles). These would be painful, grow and then eventually burst. I consulted with a dermatologist who advised me that this is a disease called "Hidradenitis suppurativa" and I have a mild form of that. He put me on doxycycline 100 mg for 3 months along with a local application cream called "Bactropan". There was a marked improvement in these however I was made to understand that these are not curable.
Today, I noticed some new spots on the base of the penis shaft after shaving down there. These are totally different from the ones I have described above. Very small, different color (whitish / greyish appearance vs. the brown skin around it), not painful and there is a sprinkling of these on the base of the shaft. If I run my hand over the skin, I feel that they are slightly raised but its not visible to the naked eye (only the color differential makes them stand out). Multiple spots towards the left side of the penis shaft. There is no penile discharge associated with it
I would welcome any advice. I am able to upload photographs for review if anyone is able to provide an address for that.
Thanks
