What Causes Bright Red Bleeding Within 2 Weeks Of Periods After Delivery?

HI I had a baby 6 and a half months ago, my periods started and thought they seemed ok. The third cycle though was 2 weeks late, the forth cycle finished but then I started bleeding again 3 days later, this lasted nearly 2 weeks and was bright red. I thoughtonce it stopped things wld go back to normal but now a week after stopping it has started again (bright red). I m so confused.
