What Causes Brown Bruises On The Back Of Upper Thigh?

I have web like brown bruises on the back of my upper thighs where they meet my buttocks. I have had them for several weeks to a month. They have never been any other color then brown. They not painful but looks as if they are in the same pattern as my veins. What might this be caused from?
