What Causes Burning On The Finger After A Surgery Of Mucous Cyst?

i HAD SURGERY FIVE WEEKS AGO ON MY INDEX FINGER....FIRST JOINT TO REMOVE A MUCOUS CYST AND A BONE SPUR. THE WHOLE TIP OF MY FINGER BURNS. THE SKIN LITERALLY FEELS LIKE IT IS ON FIRE. IT IS BRIGHT RED AND WARM TO THE TOUCH. WHEN ANYTHING TOUCHES MY SKIN IT BURNS AND HURTS SO BAD. SAW THE SURGEON ONE WEEK AFTER THE SURGERY AND HE SAID IT LOOKED FINE. HE DID NOT DO A SKIN GRAFT SO THERE WAS A BIG HOLE (literally) ON MY FIRST KNUCKLE. IT IS FINALLY SCABBING OVER BUT STILL PAINFUL. IS ALL THIS NORMAL OR SHOULD I GO BACK TO THE DOC. THANKS
