What Causes Burning Sensations In The Vagina?

I am a 48yr old women. with complaint of burning sensation in my vaginal area, nostral and throat. I went to a doctor who gave my meds for UTA. The symptoms have continued.This is really affecting my sex life. I believe it could have something to do with menapause but I fear it could be something more serious. I am sure the doc will think its al in my mind. She didnt believe all of these symptoms could be related.
