What Causes Chronic Fatigue Syndrome And Back Pain?

Good morning, I have a very tender spot on the right side of my back about 10 to 11cm from the spine and just higher than the hip. I do have problems urinating and I have had this checked out with blood and urine tests quite a few times and nothing has been found. It has been put down to other back problems that I have. I sometimes get a pain right down my right leg when passing water. When I walk I can feel pain there and this can make it feel worse. The problem started over 30 years ago and just before Xmas 2010 it got worse. When I have mentioned it to my doctors over the years they take very little notice and it is only just in the last month that I have made sure that they look at this issue. I had an Ultra Sound on Tuesday 6th Sept and it didn t show anything so an MRI scan will be next. Over the past 10 years I have been told I suffer from either ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia. I actually saw a Rheumatologist on Thursday and he said that I only have mild pain in all of the usual spots associated and he seemed a little hesitatnt though I do have most other signs of one of these illnesses especially the tiredness and poor concentration, headaches and much more. I used to be a bus driver until 1986 when I retired due to severe back pain caused through an accident, also the 2nd and 5th vertebra are smaller than usual. Around 1978 we started to drive buses that had been converted to fully automatic gear boxes and to get the smoothest gear change you had to keep the accellerator pedal pressed all of the way to the floor. This was a heavily sprung pedal that made you push yourself hard into the seat. After a shift on these my back would be very tender in the part that I first mentioned... about 10 to 11cm from the spine and just higher than the hip. Is it possible that this has caused a hernia of the kidney which is being missed diagnosed as ME etc?? I also get short of breath, double vision at times and the soles of my feet and especially my heels become painful. I must apologise for such a long drawn out question. I look forward to your answer. Cheers, Gordon
