What Causes Dark Ring Around Nose And Cheeks?

I have a dark ring around my nose that spread to the upper lip...down the sides of the lip covering my entire chin... and big dark areas on both of my cheeks. It is even starting to appear a bit at the top of my nose bridge... I'm completely freaking out and can never go without makeup. I feel so ashamed... its been getting worse and worse since I was about 12/13 (I am now 22). My family has always been very poor and without insurance. How could I help this issue?
