Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having pleuritic pain (chest pain on deep breathing, coughing etc).
Common causes for pleuritic pain are lung infection and bronchitis.
Since you are having past history of bronchitis, possibility of recurrence of bronchitis is more likely at present.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
3. PFT (pulmonary function test) for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
