What Causes Fluid Filled Pockets At The End Of The Eyelids?

Hello. My boyfriend's forehead was split open from his hairline to inbetween his eyebrowns. He received in CTscan and was found to have no fractures but was told he had a concussion. He was stitched up and was released from the hospital. Here we are over 48hours later and his face is swollen and he now has 2 pockets of fluid in the corners of his eyelids on each side of his nose. Should I take him back to the ER? He is 35years old and is pretty healthy.
