What Causes Hallucinations After Taking Benadryl?
my dad is having dystonic reaction to a medication which we stopped 4 days ago but last night and now started again. they come and go. He was prescribed Benadryl but he is allergic to it, it creates hallucinations so we can t give it to him. We feel so helpless when he is going thru this. Do you know of anything else that can stop these attacks. He is 73, Thank you, Eileen

Hallucinations are sometimes reported with the use of Benadryl. Drug induced dystonia can also be treated by using anti-cholinergic drugs. I suggest him benztropine or biperiden for the control of dystonia.
