What Causes Heavy Bleeding?

I don't have any health insurance, and I've been feeling like there is something there in the lower right part of my stomach and sometimes it shifts to my back. I am really worried it's something serious. Plus, I'm 44 and experiencing some heavy bleeding sometimes. Can you help me figure it out?
