What Causes High Fever?

my 3 years old son has high fever 103 degree plus in night for last 5 days and during the day also he has around 100 degrees. He also has cough and running nose for 5 days again. Is it normal viral fever or should I be going for further investigation.

.typhoid
.malaria
.tonsillitis
.UTI
.PNEUMONIA
He needs to be investigated in detail
