What Causes Hot Flashes And Tiredness During Menopause?

Have been experiencing a general feeling of unwell for months. I am 54 yrs old. Menopausal however no hot flashes. Do have trouble sleeping, increased heart rate, fullness in throat feeling, tired, cold at times, shaky at times etc. It is next to impossible to lose weight. Yesterday consumed 550 calories went for two walks and the scale puts me up half a pound. Yikes. My TSH shows at 2.86 so doctor just sends me packing and basically doesn't listen to my issues in losing weight..doesn't believe me I guess..very frustrating
