What Causes Itching All Over The Body After Taking Detox Liver Pills?

I am 55yr white female Dx with FattyLiver appox 5 yrs ago whlie doing some routine blood work.My chelestrol was about 200. After feeling really bad i decided to be seen by a dr that had more knowledge & was more assessable. After test ran he said blood wk showed my Chestrol was 400 ALT & AST was 4x higher than normal. And thet said liver was inflamed.(that was 6wks ago) Liver enzymes almost bk to normal & dr dx me w NASH told me i had to change my eating habits to a diet that is healthy for the rest of my life. If i do this he thinks it can reverse the damage done to the liver. Im 5ft4in wt 190lbs . My question is this; I began itching all over my body since January after i had takjen a wks worth of Liver Detox pills & im stii itching -it isvery very bad -esp at nite., Is there anything that can eat that will make it better or worse? if i drink mega amt of water will that help? Does this mean my liver is in really bad shape? Is there a possibiliy it will get better or stop? Im getting embarrased to be seen in public b/c they stare at all the bruisg i have on my body. Please advise
