What Causes Itching And Scraping Of Skin On The Ankle?

iI have what looks like circle scrape o. My ankle. It is starting cause walking discomfort. There is a slight discoloration circle around the scrape. It appeared Sunday, yesterday. I do not recall bumping into or scarping my aankle. It is itchy too. What can it be.
