What Causes Itching, Flaking And Dry Vagina?

the lips of my vagina are dry, itchy, and flaking. The itchiness is very annoying. I need help figuring this out. I have a doctor's appointment but not untit the January 12th. I've used Witchazel which soothes it, but only temporarily. I recently trimmed that area with a razor about a month ago. I don't know if this is a reaction as I have never done it before. Also just prior to that I had a yeast infection (my first as well) but that was taken care of. I just want to know if this could be related to the yeast infection, trimming or something else.
