What Causes Itching In Legs After A Hives Breakout?

Last week I had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin and broke out into hives. I then stopped taking the Amoxicillin and started taking Benedryl to get rid of the hives. That was successful but now I my legs won't stop itching. And sometimes it feels like there are a billion of needles poking me or there are hundreds of bugs biting me. This has been going on for three days since the hives disappeared. Do you think this is just a reaction or could it be bugs or mites?
