What Causes Itchy,flaky And Raised Hypo Pigmented Spots On Face?

I have itchy, flaky, raised, hypopigmented spots on my face. They started out smaller and separate from each other at the beginning of summer, but now some have merged together to form larger patches. New smaller patches are also forming on the rest of my face. They get extremely dry and flaky if I don't put Eucerin on at least every three hours. It has caused me a lot of stress and embarrassment. Is there anything I can do while I wait for my dermatologist appointment in a week?
