My 4 month old has been have a gentle shake in her arms while taking her bottle for the past week. It doesn t happen every feeding it is sporadic and only lasts a couple of seconds. Yesterday she had a stronger episode that was about 12-15 seconds in duration. However she didn t choke or spit up milk and appeared to have no disorientation. What could be the cause of these?

Hi...by what you quote I feel that it could be a jitteriness which is quite common in this age group. This is a very benign condition and can sometimes occur in low blood calcium or vitamin D levels. A simple suggestion is that when she shakes the hand just hold it and if it stops it is jitteriness and if it doesn't then it could be seizure.
