What Causes Pain In Penis And Inflammation On Penis Tip?

Im a 14 year old normal boy, who masturbates regularly, but when i woke this morning i had immense pain in my penis. It was red around the tip but the bit that hurt the most was the string like thing that goes from the back tip of my penis to the skin. It is also cut in other places, are there any creams i could use to help this?
