What Causes Pain In The Mid Of The Ribs?

When i was in 7th grade i was mistakenly pushed into a water fountain. Lucky for me, my rib cage took the full blow so i didnt break anything. The wind was knocked out of me for about 3 minutes so i was sent to the nurse. She took a look at at and didnt really take into account that 6-8 of my ribs have been dented. 2 or 3 of them and less than an inch from my heart. When i lay on my side i feel a pain in the middle of my ribs cause the ribs are dented in so the outsides come up. I just want to know if it will affect my growth and if it is fixable. My ribs are dented 3/4 of an inch.
