What Causes Persistent Pain On The Rib Cage?

Yes hi, I am a forty six year old female with a history of cancer in her family. Three months ago, I suffered a fall at home that landed me in the emergency room. The doctor ordered an MRI to rule out any bleeding. He also ordered some blood tests. Results came back fine. They didn t see anything on the MRI and blood work was fine. It has been almost four months since the fall and I still have pain on my right side under the rib cage. Could this be an underlying problem that maybe they missed. I am a little concern because cancer does run in my family
