What Causes Pink Vaginal Discharge After A Hysterectomy?

I had a hysterectomy 1 1/2 yrs ago and also a reconstructive surgery 8 yrs ago on my right kidney...lately sometimes when i wipe i have pink to bright red blood...what could be the cause. also today my doc put me on a steriod for my lungs could this be the cause?
