What Causes Pinkish Discharge When Period Is Not Due?

I have been on tri sprintec for almost a month, and tomorrow I am supposed to start taking the white placebo pills, but I have a pinkish discharge and what looks like spotting. My period isn't due for another 4 to 5 days, but could this still be my period?
