What Causes Prolonged Periods With Less Spotting And No Pain?

I am 35 years old and I have had a slow period now for 11 days I only used a tampon for three days. The blood is bright and there have been a few small clots. This period has been painless, no cramping at all, it is very abnormal for me. Should I be concerned?
