What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Spotting While Taking Champix?

I have been taking Champix for 3 months, given up smoking now for 2 months 3 weeks. Three months ago I began experiencing spotting half way through menstrual cycle (very minimal) but wonder if this is related to Champix? Have never had any unusual problems before. 44 yr old female
