What Causes Several Noticeable Bumps On Legs?

I have several bumps on my legs all over that are small red spots. When I touch them they feel like they are or was a black and blue. I have a newborn baby and thought maybe I'm bumping into things at night caring for her but they are not discolored like a black and blue but painful when I touch them and have a lump under each one. I seem to be getting more of them and read up online about this Erythema nodosum. I wonder if this could be and what would cause it? What could help make them go away? I am 34 yrs old, 190lbs 5ft and recently had a baby 2 months ago.
