What Causes Severe Bleeding Post Cerazette Intake?

Hi i was put on the contraceptive cerazette about 5 weeks ago and took it for the first month and began bleeding on the second week and have not stopped so i stopped taking the pill on sunday and am now still bleeding however has become a lot heavier and painful
