What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Ribs?

I'm a 20 year old female. 5'6 I have been taking prescription codeine from a uti for my rotten tooth pain. Everyday for a week or so I've had chest pain every once and awhile I'm not active I eat about a meal a day. I've had 4 Uti's 4 yeast infections an aborted pregnancy, had a depo shot and had chlamydia that caused 4 throat infections all in one year. It's about 7pm here and since 3 pm ive had a sharp stabbing pain on my left side which feels like it's my ribs. Idk if this is dangerous it doesn't hurt when I breath o take a deep breath or when I move it hurts just staying still off and on could this be due to excessive codeine use or would it be a fractured rib. I don't have any money to go see a doctor I would have to go to the emergency room if you think that its serious.
