What Causes Sticky Yellow Cervical Mucus After Having Mirena Insertion?

I had the mirena coil fitted in March this year, it settled down about 2 months ago but these last few days I've had sticky yellow cervical mucus- what could this be? I'm married and having regular intercourse, we have 2 children, the youngest is 6 months.
