What Causes Sudden, Sharp Pain In Back Of Head?

I have been having sudden sharp head pains in the back of my head close to my neck. It comes on suddenly and gets worse within seconds but goes away after a couple of mintues I wake up in the middle of the might with them and in the mornings I feel really sick.
