What Causes Swollen Breast With Pelvic Pain When Having Negative Pregnancy?

Hi I had my period on Sept 2nd, went in for my hsg on the 6th. Everything was deemed normal. I had bad cramping and a fever about a week later. Had sono and blood work done and they ruled out infection and the sono was normal. I missed my period but have gotten negative pregnancy test. Breast are swollen and I am really uncomfortable in my pelvic area and back. Went for blood work yesterday. Not pregnant and my progesterone was real low which indicates I have not ovulated. Dr. gave me provera to bring on period. Is this common? I have never missed a period like this or felt this feeling.
