What Causes Swollen Upper Cheek?

My son has upper cheek swelling that seems to be filed with fluid. Primary said that it may be a possible sinus fracture....the site is 4cm by 5cm and decrease when at rest and increase with activity. Has appt with specialist next week...I am still concerned any ideas?
