What Causes Tenderness And Stinging In The Area Of Incision?

I am 49 yrs old and had a sebacous cyst removed from the inside of my upper leg about 4 weeks ago. The incision area has become tender the last couple of days and this morning I have a great deal of stinging in the area of the incision. Is this normal?
