What Causes Throbbing Headache, Fever With Itching Gums?

Hello, how are you? Well 3 days ago, my son had come down with a fever after eating five pancakes. The fever continued for 2 days until the fever waned. Shortly before that, he had a throbbing headache. It continued until the third day, when he felt better. Unfortunatly, he came down with the fever with itching gums. He had compained of his last class(he s an eighth grader) because it was cold. Can you please explain this phenomena?
