What Causes Twinges In Lower Right Abdomen?

I am a 52 year old woman and have been experiencing "twinges" in my lower right abdomen throughout the day. I haven't had a period in over two years, but the feeling reminds me of how I felt during ovulation. I don't have other symptoms (no fever, nausea, etc.) so I'm guessing it is not an appendicitis. Ideas?
