What Causes Wetness In The Genital Area?

I'm 5 mths pregnant, been wet in the genital area on & off x 5 days, amniotic fluids test negative, cervix closed, infection testing negative, U/S showed amniotic fluid level 'normal' but at the bottom 5th percentile, no particular odor, no colouring to wetness. Does anyone have any thoughts? I've rec'd conflicting information that it could be a small tear high up in the amniotic sac or its just normal vaginal discharge but excessive.
