Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doc. about 5 years ago I had a few rounds of brownish ejaculate. I am a registered nurse employed in the OR. When I arrived at work I freaked out to a urologist and general surgeon that I trust. They both essentially laughed and told me it was prostatitis and not to worry. They also said to ejaculate frequently and it should clear. It did, however for years now I have noticed my semen is yellowish in color and I sometimes experience urethral burning on ejaculation. I recently had a digital prostate exam at this years physical. I also asked my doctor to do a PSA but he said it wasn t necessary since I had one the year before and a digital exam is more reliable. I am on Klonopin and Xanax. Am I being overly paranoid? Most think I am a hypochondriac.
