What Could Be The Cause Of Yeast Infection?

my husband has some kinda fungal infection on his skin in the groin area.....he has treated it with athlete foot medication...seems not to work to me....but I find that i keep getting a yeast infection...is this the cause? also he has athletes feet and i take a bath in his tub after washing with bleach, can this be the cause also? thanks
