What Could Cause Brown Pigment Spots In Underarm ?

Hi, I have brown pigment spots (like freckles) in the underarm area. Have had these for about 2 years now. Any ideas why I have them and how do i erase them?
I am 24yrs old, hypothyroidism, on 50mg of levothyroxine, been taking meds for 3 years.
